# Reorder Columns

Rearranges the column order of the dataset. Only the order changes — the values are left
untouched.

- **Columns to move (in order)** — pick the columns you want to move. Drag the chips inside the
  field to set the order they should appear in.
- **Place selected** — where the moved block goes:
  - **Move to front** — before all the other columns.
  - **Move to back** — after all the other columns.
  - **Position of first selected column** — back where the first of the selected columns
    originally sat.
  - **Position of last selected column** — back where the last of the selected columns
    originally sat. (When the selected columns were already next to each other, this and
    *Position of first selected column* give the same result.)

The columns you do not pick keep their relative order, and the **ID** column always stays first.
